Duties to include, but not limited to: 1. Interview a new potential client and prepare a factual Intake about the case for the attorney to review;
2. Quote the client a fee for representation which has been calculated and authorized by the attorney; (when applicable)
3. Deliver to the client for their review and execution a contingency fee agreement which has been drafted and approved by the attorney;
4. Supervise, hire and terminate the non-lawyer staff when asked.
5. Function as the Office Manager over the non-lawyer staff;
6. Draft Initial Witness Disclosure for review and approval;
7. Collect, organize and draft Initial Document Disclosure for review and approval;
8. Draft proposed Interrogatories, request for production, request for admission and related discovery documents for review and approval;
9. Draft Proposed Complaints, Motions to Dismiss, Motions for Summary Judgment and related pleadings for review and approval;
10. Sit with clients; obtain their preliminary responses to Interrogatories, Request for Admission, and Request for Production for review and approval;
11. Communicate with court clerks and JA's to obtain calendar-call information; Set hearings; or cancel a hearing;
12. Coordinate deposition with opposing counsel;
13. Coordinate deposition with court reporting agency;
14. Schedule depositions;
15. Prepare deposition notice for review and approval;
16. Draft proposed deposition questions to be asked of a fact witness for review and approval;
17. Assist in preparing a client for deposition with attorney present;
18. Attend Depositions and make notes of the witness testimony. I do not speak;
19. Draft Proposed cross examination questions to be asked of a fact witness during deposition;
20. Hand the attorney exhibits during the deposition for their review;
21. Interview a fact witness by telephone;
22. Interview a fact witness in person;
23. Obtain affidavit from a fact witness;
24. Notarize sworn affidavits based on information relayed to me by a fact Witnesses; (I am a notary public of the State of Florida)
25. Draft (7) Rule 26.1 G Interrogatories for review and approval;
26. Draft (7) standards Rule 26.1G Interrogatories for review and approval;
27. Draft 16.1 G, 26.1(G) Interrogatories for review and approval;
28. Draft interrogatories based on my file research for review and approval;
29. Draft Opposing Motion for Summary Judgment for review and approval;
30. Draft Motion to Dismiss for review and approval;
31. Draft Motion to Compel for review and approval;
32. Bates Stamp, answer telephones and open and sort mail;
33. Calendar all trial orders to include, Right to sue notices and other matters;
